Calculating Cost
Shipping rates are calculated on either size or weight. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound or half kilogram.
Shipping – Freight – Cost
Cost is determined by air or surface freight, destination, weight and size of your order. See the cost by clicking on the "Add to order" button in the bottom right corner of your screen and then you choose.
Extra International Costs.
Your packages may be subject to the customs fees and import duties of the country to which you have your order shipped.
Please note: For your protection, any order valued at $300 or more will be sent via a track-able method. Any customs or duty charges or insurance are always the responsibility of the recipient.

Anywhere in the world, that has postage offices.
Shipping Time Frames
Your order will be packaged and sent within 1 business day following confirmation of payment. Domestic Standard shipments are expected to arrive within 4 to 14 business days after shipping. International Standard shipments are expected to arrive in 3 to 6 weeks. Where your order includes specialty items that require special handling, packaging and shipping it will be sent between 3 and 5 business days following receipt of payment.
Payment Security Checks
Where financial checks are being made on your payments, the goods will not be sent until the checks satisfy Aotearoa House administration. This is a security measure to protect both the purchaser and Aotearoa House. It may involve some delay, but it is in the best interests of all parties.
Shipping Method
All products are airmail or by surface mail, you choose. Air-mail throughout the world may take 4 to 14 business days following the date of shipment.
Shipping Guarantee
We use national and international tracking systems. This requires you to sign item documents on receiving the goods. If goods are damaged, please return them and they will be replaced. If the goods are lost please contact us and we will contact the shipping and freight forwarders and your goods will be replaced. At the time goods arrive at your destination they are your responsibility.
Shipping Several Items
All items are priced as weight-based. Large items such as furniture may be charged as per cubic metre. If several small items are ordered together we put into the same package at no extra cost. If you choose to group items into as few shipments as possible, you'll be charged for one regular per-shipment fee, as well as a reduced per-item fee for each item in that shipment. Items Requiring Special Handling
Oversized and extremely heavy items or delicate products may require a special surcharge. The surcharge varies depending on size, weight and special needs of the item.
Products that are extremely oversized or weigh over 50 kilograms or over100 pounds are marked on their product detail pages as requiring special handling and will ship separately from other items in your order. The shipping charges for these items are either indicated on their product detail pages or will be calculated for you at the last step of the purchase process before you send us your order. Please note that each shipment of these items requires an adult signature upon delivery. Once your order leaves our distribution center, you will be contacted by the shipper to arrange a specific time for delivery.
